Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located about one metre north of the porch of the Church of St. James the Great in Westerleigh. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. The tomb has lyre ends and paired inscription panels on the south side, which include two narrow central panels adorned with garlands. The north side mirrors this design with one central panel. Unfortunately, the inscriptions on the tomb have worn away over time.
