Description

The Gunning Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 4 metres south of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and recessed quarter balusters. On the south side, there are paired inscription panels with shaped tops, along with a putto and an hourglass. The monument commemorates Robert Gunning, who died in 1813.
