Description

The Johnson chest tomb, located in the churchyard about 4 metres north of the porch of the Church of St. John, dates from the mid-18th century. It is made of limestone and features sandstone inscription panels on the north, south, and west sides. The tomb has a flat top with a moulded edge and a plinth, along with plain quarter balusters and lyre ends. It commemorates Thomas Johnson, who died in 1766, and other members of the family.
