Description
Heathfield is a house with an attached stable, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, located on Lodge Lane in Nailsea. The house is constructed of rendered rubble with a plain tiled roof, featuring crestings and gable stacks. The main block is three storeys high with three windows, all containing 16-pane sashes in exposed boxes, except for the second floor which has 12-pane sashes. A half-glazed front door is topped by a fanlight with radial glazing bars, and sheltered by a gabled porch with a rustic wooden trellis. A lower, two-storey wing adjoins the right side, featuring sashes at ground and first floor, and a small, single-storey outhouse projects from the right. The left return shows a rendered lined-out section and a canted ashlar bay on the left with three plate-glass sashes. Other openings include two French windows with margin glazing, a two-light casement, and a four-pane sash on the second floor. A two-storey stable wing attached to the rear of the property has carriage doors, corner windows beneath the eaves, and a central small wooden oriel. The interior has not been inspected.
