Description
The gatepiers and walls at The Parsonage date from the early 18th century. The side walls are made of coursed and squared rubble with stone copings, while the front boundary wall and gatepiers are constructed from ashlar. The walls are 2 metres high and ramp up to the house on the north and south sides of the garden. There is a low wall, 0.5 metres high, at the front, featuring two centrally placed gatepiers that are square in plan and stand 3 metres high. These gatepiers have moulded bases, bolection-moulded panels, and deeply projecting moulded cornices topped with flaming urn-finials. Additionally, there are two semi-circular steps.
