Description
This is a barn located about 70 metres south west of Lake Farmhouse, dating from the late 16th century and built around the same time as the farmhouse. The barn is constructed of rubble with large limestone quoins and some brick, topped with a hipped roof covered in triple roll tiles. The front features a cart entry that rises to eaves height, which is closed off by corrugated iron, with some brickwork visible on the left side. The right side has three small square openings with timber lintels at a lower level, five pointed arched ventilation slits above, and a blocked door with a segmental head to the right. The plinth is made up of large blocks of rubble. On the left side, there is a ventilation slit at a lower level to the right, a blocked door with a timber lintel, and a later opening that reaches eaves height to the left, along with a 20th-century lean-to. The rear and interior of the barn are not accessible.
