Description
Church Lodge, likely the former school cottage, was built in 1823 for Robert Vaughan of Wraxall Lodge. The building is rendered with a slate roof featuring overhanging eaves and rendered stacks. It has an L-plan layout with a gabled cross wing to the north, designed in a late Gothic style. The lodge includes two single light windows with cusped heads and a gabled projecting porch framed by a moulded ashlar surround with a pointed head. The cross wing features a ground floor bay window with a 1:3:1 light arrangement and cusped pointed heads, along with a 2-light casement window on the first floor, which has an inscribed plaque above it. At the north-east corner, there are cast iron Gothic gates and gatepiers with spear finials that lead into the churchyard.
