Description

Chapel Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse with significant 18th-century extensions. The original part of the house is constructed of banded flint, stone, and brick, while the later extensions are primarily brick with some ashlar dressings. It has tiled roofs with brick copings and brick stacks. The ground floor of the original section features three-light stone mullioned windows, with three-light timber casements above. A central two-light stone mullioned window is located at an intermediate level. The 18th-century extension is symmetrical, with three bays, two storeys, and attics. It contains large 19th-century sash windows with vertical glazing bars, set within flat brick arches. A central porch is present, and the upper floor contains a round-headed window with an ashlar architrave. Internal features include collared tie-beam trusses.
