Description

Stourpaine House is a house with origins in the 18th century, which was largely remodeled in the early 19th century. It features rendered and whitewashed walls topped by a shallow pitched slate roof, with rendered stacks at the end of the ridge on the left and the right gable. The house has two storeys and a five-window range, with 12-pane sash windows that extend down to ground level on the lower floor. There is a part-glazed door located in the right gable, which includes a fanlight and fluted architrave. Inside, there is a curved staircase with a cut string, plain uprights, and a moulded mahogany handrail.
