Description
Coombe Down Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the late 17th century, with 19th-century rear extensions and a c.1925 addition at the south end. The building features coursed lias stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings. There are two brick stacks, one at the right-hand gable and one at the front eaves, both from the 20th century. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has approximately five to six windows, which include two, three, and four-light stone mullions with hollow chamfers and separate returned labels on the ground floor. The front door is centrally located and consists of a flush-panelled wooden door. There are two small triangular-headed windows on either side of the door, each with recess spandrels and a continuous label above, which dates back to the 17th century.
