Description
Revels Inn Farmhouse is a house, possibly a former inn, dating from the late 18th century. It has rendered walls and a slated, gable-ended roof with rendered stacks at each end. The facade is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and five bays arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern. The central bay slightly projects and features a pediment. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a round-headed doorway with a fanlight. Inside, there is a room with full fielded panelling and a doorcase that has gothick details. To the left of the main structure is a single-storey brick extension with a tiled gable end. The farmhouse is noted for its mention in Thomas Hardy's novel "The Woodlanders."
