Description

No 12 on West Street is a building dating from after 1731. It is three storeys high with a two-window front, constructed in typical brickwork. The building features sash windows with segmental heads and keystones that are similar to those found on No 10. It has a moulded brick cornice and a parapet that is also similar to No 10 but is original. The ground floor has a modern shop front set within an early 19th-century frame, which includes Corinthian capitals on four-panelled pilasters, along with an enriched modillion cornice and decorative paterae above.

No 12, the Three Choughs Public House, and the Crown Hotel form a group of buildings.
