Description

The Crown Hotel is a building located on the north side of West Street. Most of the structure, including the two main facades, was rebuilt around 26 years ago. This reconstruction is well-executed and respects the local Georgian architectural style, which is why it has been given a Grade II listing. Part of the rear of the building dates back to the 18th century, and the stables, also originating from the 18th century, have been converted for use as garages. The Crown Hotel forms a group with No 12, the Three Choughs Public House.
