Description
Pamphill Dairy House is a late 16th to early 17th century building located on the north side of Abbott Street in Pamphill. The front wall is made of brick, likely a refacing, while the rear walls are timber-framed. It features a thatched roof with a central brick stack. The layout consists of a four-room lobby entrance plan and the building is one storey with an attic. A ledged door is set in a timber porch. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with glazing bars and one metal window. The attic includes two dormers with casements, one of which has cast iron lights. Inside, the ground floor rooms are characterized by deep chamfered ceiling beams and there are remains of a large open fireplace with a bread oven, which has been partially built up.
