Description

No. 70 on Village Street is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble, flint, and render, topped with a thatched roof that has a half-hipped left side and a brick stack on the right. The cottage is a single storey with an attic and features an irregular arrangement of two windows. On the ground floor, there are three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, while the upper floor has a dormer on the right with a two-light casement, also with horizontal glazing bars. The entrance is a near-central plank door.

Inside, notable features include a stop-chamfered beam and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressummer.
