Description
Old Manor House, dating from 1615, is located on the north side of St James Street. It features an early 19th-century design with later alterations to an older structure. The building is constructed of rough ashlar and has a two-storey, three-window front with a slate gabled roof. The gable end indicates that the roof level has been raised twice, and there is a small mullioned window on the right-hand gable end. The sash windows are irregularly spaced and have been altered. A notable feature is the early 19th-century porch, which has a peaked canopy and cresting. Surrounding the property are railings with uprights arranged in two heights, all topped with arrow-shaped finials, along with square standards. There is a small gate with ironwork that matches the pattern of the railings, positioned before the door.
