Description
Four stone headstones in the churchyard immediately north of the Thomas Brooks monument commemorate members of the Hardy family. One headstone is dedicated to Thomas Hardy, who died in 1837, featuring a rounded top and carved cherub's heads. Another headstone honors his wife, Mary, who passed away in 1857, and has a scroll top. A third headstone is for their son, James Hardy, who died in 1880, and has a plain top. The fourth headstone is for Jane Hardy, James's wife, who died in 1892, also with a plain top. These monuments are included for their historic interest.
