Description

This pair of mid-18th century buildings, numbers 18 and 20 Church Street, are constructed of pink brick with red brick detailing. The roofs are tiled, and the property features pink brick stacks with red brick quoins. The buildings are two storeys high and feature a band across the facade. The eaves are distinguished by diagonally placed bricks. The fenestration consists of three ranges of cased sash windows. One window on the first floor has been blocked and finished with vitrified headers. Number 20 has a six-panel door flanked by reeded pilasters incorporating triglyphs, a blind semi-circular fanlight, and an open pediment with ball dentils. Number 18 features a planked door with an oblong fanlight, a flat hood supported by cast iron brackets, and one reeded pilaster. A ground floor bay is present with a moulded cornice, sash windows, and glazing bars.
