Description
Pallington Farm House, located in the parish of Affpuddle, near Tincleton, was built in 1780, as recorded in the diary of James Frampton. The house is constructed of brick with tiled roofs and stone eaves courses. A brick dentil cornice runs along the eaves, and the brick stacks have decorative caps. Originally L-shaped, an additional wing was built in a matching style during the late 18th or early 19th century. The house is two storeys high with attics. The windows are stone mullioned, representing a late example of this style, and now contain modern metal casements. The north elevation, facing the road, has three windows on the ground floor and five on the first floor, with a gabled dormer window in the attic. The main entrance is now located on the west elevation, at the point where the original building meets the extension. The interior has been altered.
