Description

No 4, known as Court Lodge, is a late 18th-century building located on the north side of West Allington. It is constructed of red brick and features a pitched slate roof with coped gable ends and a tall rendered stack. The building has two storeys and is adorned with a brick modillion eaves cornice. There are two ranges of sash windows with glazing bars, and it displays a Sun Fire Insurance Badge. A side entrance is framed by two concentric brick relieving arches, leading to a door with six flush panels, a reeded lintel, and a semi-circular fanlight. The property is complemented by two cylindrical iron gate piers topped with wooden ball finials and wooden fretwork gates.
