Description

South House is an early 19th-century house located in Piddletrenthide Village. It features rendered, colourwashed walls and a hipped slate roof with rendered, clustered stacks. The building has overhanging bracketed eaves and is two storeys high with an attic. The west front is nearly symmetrical and includes sash windows with glazing bars, which are adorned with keystones. Inside, notable features include doorcases with reeded architraves and corner roundels, as well as a staircase that has a moulded handrail and newel posts designed as clustered shafts with bands of leaf enrichment.
