Description

The cross base, located approximately 30 meters south of St. Paul’s Church in Hammoon Village, is likely from the 15th century. It is made of stone and has a square shape that is chamfered at the top to create an octagonal form. A vertical member that is cemented into the base may be part of the original shaft. The base was relocated to its current position from closer to the church in 1913. It is scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
