Description

The Roundhouse is a gazebo built around 1700 for the 3rd Earl of Shaftesbury. It features brick walls topped with a domical roof made of tiles and lead. The structure has a square plan and stands two storeys high, with a plat band on the first floor. There are square-headed doorways on the east and west sides, and 18-pane sash windows. The west side includes an oval window above the entrance, and there is a carved stone cartouche displaying arms on the south side.
