Description

Muston Manor is a house dating to the late 17th century. The main facade is built of brick in English bond, while the end walls are a combination of flint and rubble. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks positioned to the right of the front door and at the gable ends. The house is two storeys high, with a porch and an attic, and originally had five bays, though an early 20th-century extension has been added to the right. The ground floor has four-light stone mullioned windows with hollow chamfers, and the upper floor has similar three-light windows. The porch features an elliptically headed stone arch with continuously hollow chamfered jambs and ogee mouldings. 19th-century two-light gabled dormers have been added to the roof. Internal features include a 17th-century chimney piece originally from Waterston Manor.

To the south of the house is a brick wall that leads to a small dovecote with a pitched slate roof. The wall includes a gateway with brick piers topped with flat stone coping and ball finials. A mounting block is situated below the dovecote.
