Description
Harts Farm House is an early mid-17th century farmhouse. It is constructed of brick walls laid in an irregular bond, with a half-hipped tiled roof. A single brick stack is located at the left end, and a twin stack is situated right of centre. The house is two storeys high. A porch with a hipped roof and a 20th-century oak ledged door has been added. The ground and first floors each feature three casement windows with a central horizontal glazing bar, all set under segmental arches. Inside, the principal ground floor room contains a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and evidence of a bread oven. Several exposed chamfered ceiling beams remain, and the original roof structure is intact.
