Description
This is a barn and attached stables located 25 metres north east of South Admiston Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. The barn features brick walls constructed in English bond and has a slate roof with gable ends. It includes square brick porches that have hipped slate roofs. The porch jambs are made of brick and banded with stone, and there are ventilation holes in the brickwork that are diamond-shaped. The barn has two brick buttresses on the north and south walls, which have set-offs. The north east end of the barn is continuous with the stabling, which has a rubble stone base and brick walls above. There are two stable doors, one of which has an original segmental head.
