Description
Great House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been built in more than one phase. It dates from the 17th century or earlier, with a south range added in the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared rubble and features thatched roofs with gabled ends and brick stacks at the ends. The south range is two storeys high and has four irregularly placed window openings. These include two and three-light casements with glazing bars, as well as some leaded lights, and wooden lintels above the windows. There is a 20th-century glazed porch at the front. The rear range is one and a half storeys tall, with irregular fenestration that also includes two and three-light casements with leaded lights. It has a flush panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above it. Inside, notable features include a ceiling with intersecting moulded beams and wall plates.
