Description

The terrace walls to the Italian Garden, located 350 meters southwest of Saint Antony's Convent, were built around 1910. They create an elliptical enclosure and include the Garden Pavilions. The central section features open balustrading made of turned ashlar stone balusters, supported by square piers, and topped with weathered coping and ball finials. The sections on either side, which connect to the pavilions, are constructed from solid rubble stone, also topped with stone coping and ball finials. Between the pavilions, there are two short lengths of open balustrading, which have square terminal piers with iron finials.
