Nos 42 and 44 have gable ends facing the road, with No 42 having an elevated eaves level and a slate roof added. Nos 42 and 46 are two storeys tall, while No 44 has three storeys and a thatched roof. No 42 has one window above and two below, flanking a central doorway. No 44 has one window bay and three storeys. No 46 features two two-light windows above and one three-light window below, along with a plain wooden boarded door. These cottages form a group with No 1 Victoria Street and Nos 2 to 8 Barton Hill.
