Description
Middle Beeny is a farmhouse that possibly dates back to the early 18th century. It is constructed of slate stone rubble and features a slate roof with gable ends. The taller range on the left has a higher slate roof, and there are end stacks along with an axial stack located to the left of the center. While a full inspection was not possible at the time of the survey, the layout may consist of three rooms with a cross or through passage plan. The larger room on the right is heated by a gable end stack, while the smaller central room has an axial stack. It is unclear if the left-hand room in the taller range is a later addition or a remodelling. The building has two storeys and an overall window arrangement of 1:3, with the taller range on the left. The lower range on the right features a two-light casement to the left of the entrance and two additional two-light casements to the right, along with three two-light casements in half dormers with raking roofs on the first floor. The interior was not accessible for inspection. This building is particularly important in the landscape.
