Description
The White House is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century and has been enlarged. It is constructed of uncoursed rubble with granite quoins and dressings, and it is painted white with a modern tiled roof. The building has a double-pile plan due to an addition at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, featuring a symmetrical design. The central doorway has a glazed door, and there are 12-pane sashed windows with exposed boxes, raised sills, and rectangular lintels. A chimney is located at the right-hand gable. The rear of the house is not of special interest. The White House forms a group with the Corner House to the east.
