Description

The front garden walls and gate piers at Trerice date from the 19th to 20th centuries and are partly built on early foundations. Constructed from killas rubble, the walls are approximately 3.2 meters high next to the house wings and extend eastward, featuring angled coping that reduces to about 1.8 meters due to a rise in the ground. The ashlar copings lead up to the central gate piers, which are 20th century, made of ashlar elvan, and stand about 3 meters high. They have a hollow cornice and tall raised ball finials, with 20th century timber gates. This structure is listed for its group value.
