Description
This building is a cartshed or implement shed with an adjoining stable, located approximately 15 meters east of Binnerton Manor Farmhouse. It dates from the early 19th century to the late 19th century. The structure is made of killas and granite rubble, featuring dressed granite quoins, jambstones, and lintels. It has scantle slate roofs with gable ends and an overall reshaped plan. The large cartshed, built around the late 19th century, has older stabling that adjoins at right angles to the left-hand bay at the front. The front of the cartshed consists of four open bays supported by cast iron stanchions. The lower stable section is attached on the left side and includes a doorway in the gable end. Inside, the roof of the cartshed is constructed with an iron-bolted king post design.
