Description
The gate piers, walls, and railings at the south west entrance to Honicombe Holiday Village date from the mid 19th century. They feature granite ashlar piers, slatestone rubble walls, and cast iron railings. The central pair of square plan piers stand on plinths and have convex shaped necking topped with acorn finials. The low flanking walls sweep forward and are finished with chamfered granite coping, which is surmounted by cast iron railings with trefoil finials. There are also similar terminal piers that rise to about 3 metres high.
