Description

No. 4 on Fore Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall. The front features one wide sash window with marginal lights, glazing bars, and a segmental head, although this has been replaced by a casement window on the second floor. The ground floor boasts a large double plate glass shop front with a cornice above it. The building has a modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof with gable ends, while the end wall is roughcast. This property is included for its group value, as it is part of a row with Nos. 4 to 8 (even).
