Description

The St Blazey Foundry, built in 1848 by the mining engineer William West, comprises two ranges set at right angles, forming the north and east sides of a yard. The buildings are constructed of stone rubble, with the north range rendered and both having slate roofs with gable ends. The east building has a semicircular end wall. The foundry features various windows and entrances, including a segmental arch entrance in the north building. It was used for the manufacture of mining, melting, waterworks, and railway machinery.
