Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage located on The Cliff in Mevagissey. It is constructed of cement-washed stone rubble, and features a jettied first floor that was originally tile-hung, but is now metal-sheathed. The cottage is two storeys high with two small sash windows on the first floor, each containing glazing bars. A glazed door provides access. A single-storey extension is attached to the left-hand side. The slate hipped roof is cement-washed on the rear elevation. The building’s picturesque qualities are noted. The listed buildings along The Cliff form a visually cohesive group on the north side of the harbour.
