Description
Treloy Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries, along with later alterations. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and features a slate roof with ridge tiles. The left gable end has a gable end stack with a brick shaft, while the right side has a hipped roof with a stack.
The original layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance, flanked by a room on the right and another on the left, each heated by an end stack. In the 18th century, a kitchen was added behind the right room, and a dairy was constructed at the right end, extending to form an outer parallel rear wing.
The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical four-window front. The first floor has four 16-pane sashes from the 19th century. On the ground floor, there are 19th-century 16-pane sashes on the right and left, with a central half-glazed door from the 20th century. The dairy, added in the 18th century, is located to the right and features a dairy ventilator window on the ground floor and a 19th-century 16-pane sash on the first floor. The left gable end is blind. On the right side, there is a two-light casement window to the left for the dairy, and to the right, there are 4-pane sashes on both the ground and first floors. The original kitchen wing has a rear gable end external stack with a curved oven at the base. The inner side of this wing has a 16-pane sash on the ground floor and a 6-pane sash on the first floor, along with a 20th-century porch set in the angle to the main range. The rear of the main range features a round-arched 28-pane stair light with splayed glazing bars, and there is a blind arch at cellar level to the right. The interior is not accessible.
