Description
The lychgate at the south entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Odulphus is a late 19th-century structure. It is built from slatestone rubble with granite dressings and features cast iron gates. The lychgate has a gabled wall with raised coped verges and a round archway. The outer side of the archway is chamfered with pyramid stops, and there is a projecting keystone with a 20th-century lamp above it. The pair of cast iron gates has a mid rail and spear finials on the top rail. The wall extends with a short section that angles forward, ending with square terminal piers made of rubble, which are about 2 meters high.
