Description

This is a farmhouse, likely built in the mid-18th century, with an adjoining barn dating to around the mid-19th century. The farmhouse is constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, with a scantle slate roof, a gabled end to the east, and a projecting wing to the rear. A large stone stack is located on the east gable end. The building has a roughly L-shaped plan, featuring a central cross passage in the main range and an extension to the north under a catslide roof. The two-storey, nearly symmetrical front has three windows. The ground floor windows have dressed stone voussoirs (painted) with a 2-light timber casement on the left and 6-pane, centre-hung timber casements on the right. A central door is partly glazed. The first floor has three 2-light, centre-hung timber casements with glazing bars. The two-storey rubble stone barn extends the rear projecting wing, with a scantle slate roof and a gabled end. The east side of the barn has dressed stone voussoirs to the ground floor openings. The interior has not been inspected.
