Description
Tuckaway Thatch is a small house, likely built in the 18th century. It features a rubble stone construction with a thatched roof made of wheat reed, and has brick chimneys at the gable ends, along with a large outbuilt stack on the right side. The house has a two-room layout with an entrance lobby and probably a stairway situated between the rooms. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows and a central doorway, which has a 20th-century door and a thatched hood above it. The windows are 4-pane horned sashes, dating from the late 19th or 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
