Description
The Bath House, located northwest of Antony House in the Wilderness, is an 18th-century structure. It features a rendered exterior and a hipped slate roof with a moulded eaves cornice and a stack with a cap over a pediment at the front. The lower wing is constructed of slatestone rubble and has a hipped slate roof with ridge coping. The building is rectangular in shape, with the entrance on the left side, and the main part is heated, while the bath house is situated in the lower wing behind.
This single-storey building has a symmetrical three-bay front, where the center bay slightly projects and includes a moulded pediment and eaves cornice. The center bay has a large blind doorway, with blind windows on either side. The left end features a central round-headed doorway set in a round-headed recess, flanked by blind round-headed windows. The right end has a single round-headed recess with a round-headed window that has panelled shutters. The rear of the main building is slate hung, and the bath house in the wing behind is made of stone rubble with a lower hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
