Description
The cross, located about 6 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Stephen, is a historical monument. It features a pre-Conquest cross head mounted on a 19th-century shaft. The shaft is made of granite, has a rectangular plan, and tapers to a height of about 1½ metres, resting on a roughly hewn granite block. At the top, the cross head is a roughly hewn wheelhead that displays a raised carved Latin cross on both the front and rear, creating four indentations. This cross is not scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
