Description

This 18th-century farmhouse incorporates an adjoining outbuilding. The house is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, featuring an asbestos slate roof and granite rubble stacks at the gable ends. A scantle slate roof covers the outbuildings and the rear of the house. The original layout comprised a double-depth plan with two rooms at the front – likely a kitchen on the left and a parlour on the right – flanked by an entrance hall leading to a stair hall situated between the rear service rooms. A later outbuilding was added to the left, and a lean-to to the right. The symmetrical south-east front has two windows and a central doorway. A 20th-century partly-glazed door is set within a 20th-century porch. The ground floor windows are 20th-century, 2-pane horned sashes, while the upper floor windows are circa late 19th or 20th century, 6-pane horned sashes. The outbuilding to the left features a wide doorway on its right side and a loading doorway above, now largely obscured by ivy. The interior remains uninspected.
