Description

This is a house dating to the early 18th century, situated on Trefusis Road in Flushing. The front is stuccoed, featuring a plinth and a moulded, coved eaves cornice. It has slate sills and a steep dry scantle slate roof with two raking dormers. A brick chimney rises over the gable end on the right, and another over an external wall to the rear.

The building's original layout comprised a large reception room on the left, now subdivided, and a cross passage on the right, leading to the rear. An original staircase turret is located at the rear left, accompanied by a narrow service room at the rear. The west-facing road front has a regular arrangement of four windows, each fitted with hornless 12-pane sashes. A doorway is located on the right, with steps flanked by wrought iron handrails, which curve over square balusters. The interior remains uninspected. A cobbled pavement lies at the front.
