Description

This is an early 19th-century stone rubble house located in Church Street, Mevagissey. It is a two-storey building with three windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, originally featuring depressed archheads with keyblocks; however, two on the first floor and one on the ground floor have been replaced by two-light casements. The central doorway has a moulded wooden architrave, flush-panelled reveals, and a panelled door, topped with a pedimented hood. The roof is slate with gable ends. The left-hand end of the building is stuccoed and features two-storey glazed bay windows with sashes, glazing bars, and fluted architraves, as well as a doorway with a flat hood supported by brackets. The building is included on the listing for its group value, alongside numbers 54 to 58 (even), Beachfield, and number 62.
