Description
Trecowthick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed killas with granite dressings and features a slate roof. The building has a two-room plan with a through stair hall and a three-bay rear wing on the right that contains the kitchen and service rooms. The entrance is located in a 20th-century porch on the north side. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a six-panelled door with a narrow overlight. The windows are sixteen-paned sashes with flush radial voussoirs. The roof is hipped and has gable brick stacks, along with boxed eaves.
The walls surrounding the front garden are joined by low railings with fleur-de-lys heads on a low wall, and there is a central gate hung on megalithic posts. Inside, the farmhouse features exposed ceiling joists and a large fireplace in the right room with a cambered stone arch.
