Description
The building is a former boiler house, likely associated with the Lower Engine House of Tywarnhaile Mine, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from killas rubble and is currently roofless. The structure has a rectangular plan with a furnace opening located at the north end, which is built into the bank at the rear. There is an L-shaped yard that is enclosed by a high wall at the front and on the left-hand side. The rubble walls remain at their original height, although part of the right-hand gable is missing. The furnace opening features a round arch, and the interior is an empty shell with no surviving machinery.
