Description
1 The Cliff is a building that likely dates from the early 18th century. It has three storeys, with the first and second floors jettied on timber brackets. Originally, the exterior was slate hung, but it has since been covered in metal sheeting. The ground floor features timber boarding, while the end and rear walls are made of stone rubble. The building is colour-washed and has three sash windows with vertical glazing bars and exposed cases, along with multipane sashes on the ground floor. There is a weatherboarded extension on the right side, and the roof is hipped and covered with new tiles. The building has a picturesque appearance. It is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of the harbour, contributing to the area's historical character.
