LANEAST BADGALL SX 28 NW 2/159 Pigsty about 15 metres north east - of Fennel House

GV II

Pigsty. Early C19. Slatestone rubble. Rag slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Plan: Rectangular pigsty, containing 3 stalls. There are 3 feeding doors at the front, where swill can be poured directly into the troughs, and 3 doors for access at the back. Exterior: Single storey. The front has 3 feeding doors, all plank doors with strap hinges and timber lintels, asymmetrically placed. The right gable end is blind. The left gable end has a small ventilator window in the gable. At the rear, there are a pair of doors to right and one door to left, all plank doors with strap hinges and timber lintels. Interior: There are wooden partitions between the 3 stalls. Troughs are not visible, but may remain at the front.
